ASTON, Pa. - The youngest and newest DVHL players descended on IceWorks this past weekend for the Atlantic Affiliate’s 6U/8U Jamboree - South. Teams from across the league’s divisions had the opportunity to compete in a series of cross-ice and half-ice games to see how they stack up against others.

Also joining the teams was the DVHL’s partner, the Philadelphia Flyers. Gritty stopped by to cheer on the teams and take photos with players outside. Flyers alumni were also outside signing autographs, along with other activities for players and families to enjoy between games.

The jamboree serves two primary purposes. The first is an introduction for new players and families to the hockey community. The second is for DVHL leaders to take a look at the teams and properly place teams for balanced games over the season.

After two full days of hockey, dozens of DVHL teams left the event excited for the season ahead where they will build the foundations of their hockey skills.
