ASHTON, Pa. - With players returning from the beach and vacation for the start of the school year, the Delaware Valley Hockey League launched its 2022-2023 season this past weekend. 15 teams are competing in the league this year, with divisions ranging from first-time 6U players to 18U players finishing their youth hockey careers.

Spanning Delaware to Hershey, Pennsylvania, the league offers competitive hockey for players and teams at all levels. The season will also feature the relaunching of a sled hockey division, affording athletes of all abilities to take the ice and play in a rink close to home.

The DVHL looks forward to the season with a host of tournaments and programs, starting with its collaboration on the 6U/8U Jamboree at Ice Works in Ashton, Pennsylvania on September 24 and 25. The Philadelphia Flyers will be stopping by on Saturday, welcoming players to the tournament with a visit from a special guest between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
