(home page updated 2/1/08) The DVHL will be holding their 2007-08 Midget 16 & Midget 18 playoffs on February 23 & 24 at the Northeast Skate Zone, Philadelphia. Our Squirt, Pee Wee, and Bantam playoffs will be held on March 1 & 2 at the Iceline Quad Rinks, West Chester, PA. Schedules are available on the web now, with teams being filled in as soon as standings permit. Carnival
Tickets are on sale now for the Flyers Wives Fight For Lives Carnival scheduled for Sunday, February 24, 2008, from Noon to 5 p.m. at the Wachovia Center. Autograph, Photograph and Shot on Goal tickets are still available for select players. This year's host of the All-star game will be the New Jersey Youth Hockey League. The age groups for our All-stars will be Bantam and Midget 16 players. The games will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at the Red Bank Armory, Red Bank, NJ. Bantams will play at 9:45 AM with the Midget 16's playing immediately after at 11:30 AM. Ballots for the recommended players are to be submitted by the coaches of each team. Ballots are available under the coaches section above and need to be submitted by Feb. 1 to Rick Hare. Failure to submit your ballot may mean that your team is not represented. for winning Silver Sticks! The Old York Road Raiders Midget 16A1 team are the champions of the 50th Anniversary Silver Sticks Finals Tournament, recently held in Newmarket, Ontario. Team members include: Michael Bambi, Larry Barretta, Chris Beyer, John Davies, Tyler Deitrick, Jim Dornberger, Andrew Gounder, Patrick Grilli, Frankie Leonardo, Howie Moyer, Bobby Petrushansky, Darren Plotkin, Ben Pulley, Jordan Roth, Jake Silverman, Jeff Taylor and Anthony Zaffino. The team was coached by Phil Pulley, Tom Coyne, Chris Beyer and Devra Pulley. The DVHL is proud to announce that we will be holding our second Midget 18 college showcase on September 27 & 28, 2008 at the Iceline Quad rinks in West Chester, PA. April The Atlantic District will be holding a level 1, 2 and 3 USA Hockey Coaching Accreditation clinic on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at the Virtua Health Center, Voorhees, NJ. USA Hockey is in the process of changing website servers; as soon as they are done, you will be able to begin registering for the clinic at http://www.usahockey.com/ under the coaches section. This is a reminder that the DVHL tampering rules are different than the Atlantic District bylaws. Please read the league's bylaw below so that you are aware of what you can and cannot do. The time of year has arrived where not knowing the rules can be a problem! Section 7 — Tampering A. Tampering is defined as recruiting of a rostered and/or registered player without the prior written approval from the organization of the rostered and/or registered player. B. No coach, manager or club official connected with a registered team may entice, influence or otherwise tamper with a player rostered with another registered team without the prior written approval of a club president or his designee. The DVHL president must be advised in writing by the club president of any designee. C. A release will not be effective until it has been received in writing and signed by the current officer of the association who is not a parent of the player or a member of the team involved. D. After investigating the matter to the fullest extent, the Executive Committee may invoke the following penalties:
